I thought it would be fun to do a guestbook for those who come and visit my little corner of the world. It would be fun to hear from you, would you sign my guestbook? ~Shyloh~

What a day!

Today has been one stressful day! My mom is going on her 4th day of having the stomach flu and is DOG SICK. Poor thing! She looks awful, sounds awful, and feels awful. Shaynah has already had her turn with the flu, but has been complaining about a headache all day. (Oh, no!!) Shallyn has been really cranky today, and I'm hoping she's just tired, not coming down with something. She has a wound on the bottom of her foot, and it is all infected, puffy and red. She has been complaining about that all day, and is walking tenderly on it. Shelbie mixed up some hot salt water and had her soak her foot in the water, to draw the infection out. My dad is working today (Lucky Guy!) and I was supposed to work, but stayed home to help out. The boys have been so busy and so hyper!! I always threaten to shoot them with my air soft, or to give them a swirly, but today I am beyond my whits end and I have actually taken my threats to a new level. They've all gotten shot once or twice (I'm using my low powered gun!) and I am about ready to give them a swirly next time one of them thinks they are being funny and says something rude. From Shayden down everyone is laying down to take a nap, including my mom. Shelbie, Shaylah and I are exaustedly taking a break in the peacefulness of a quiet house. (If you can't tell...things are kind of tense around the Ney household right now...even Ella (my dog) can sense this...she's curled up sleeping in my bedroom, probably trying to hide.)

The girls rescued another baby bird last night. (They rescued a baby pigeon last summer, (it was the UGLIEST thing I've ever seen) and nursed it back to health. Today, that pigeon is fully grown and lives as a domesticated bird in our chicken coop.) This bird is a one week old Sparrow. It's waaaayyyyy cuter than the pigeon, but really annoying. It won't shut up! It perches on their finger, and chirps nonstop. The girls are hand feeding it, and have named it: Jack Sparrow. This is a bad picture of it, but it won't sit still long enough to take a picture. It also looks really big in the picture, it's actually only 2 1/2 inches long.

I took this picture of Poppet today.
She looks like a wii character!!

(This is a minor complaint...but to top the fussy children, the arguments, the whining, the talking, the chattering, the chirping from the bird, the goat's bleating, the chicken's clucking, ect. ect...our hallway smoke detector's batteries are dying, it beeps nearly every five minutes or so. It's driving me crazy.)

So far, I am the only one who has escaped the flu. I'm hoping I'm just overly paranoid, really stressed, or maybe I need to wear my glasses for a while, but I think have a headache. Oh...no. Keep praying for our health...and sanity!
