I thought it would be fun to do a guestbook for those who come and visit my little corner of the world. It would be fun to hear from you, would you sign my guestbook? ~Shyloh~

I'm a Ney Wannabe...?

(I got up on time today!! Yay for me!)

This morning my mom and I were sitting in our playroom talking. She motioned to the school cupboard and said, "I need you to go through your cubbyhole later and clean it out. It's time to pass it on to Poppet." I was sad about this, this will be the second time I've been demoted in the school closet (actually, the first time I was demoted...this time I'm being completely kicked out). I whined about this for a while, but finally gave it up. Several minutes later, my mom says, "Oh, and I'm going to give Poppet your clipboard." (We have a wall full of painted clipboards, and us six older kids have one, but the two little girls don't. I don't know why being kicked out of the school cupboard or having my clipboard taken away is such a big deal...after all, I don't use either anymore, but I feel very left with this all!) I threw a fit about this, and was complaining about how I'm left out of everything these days, I don't get a cubby in the school cupboard, I don't get a clipboard and I don't get to mummify chickens with the rest of the kids! Shelbie, having overheard my loud whining, stuck her head in the room and said, "I don't know why this bothers you, after all...you aren't a Ney anymore...you are a Brook. You're always over at their house anyways." My mom started laughing and said, "Yea, your last name is probably hyphenated: Shyloh Ney-Brook." I retorted: "No...It's Shyloh Brook-Ney." Shelbie and my mom, taking offense to this, started saying how I'm not a true Ney anymore and how I don't belong in the Ney house anymore, blah, blah, blah. Anyways, I went to work this afternoon. When I got home, there was a sticky note on the front door. It said: "Shyloh's a Brook-Ney...TRAITOR!" Well, I ignored it and walked inside. I put my stuff up and went down the hall to my bedroom, and on that door was another post-it note, it read: "You're not our sister, your the Brook's sister." (Groan) Then, on the bathroom mirror: "You are a Ney wannabe." (Okay...ouch!)
