Highs and Lows of the day

My low of the day...

Today as I stood on our scale I was filled with dread...I have gained six whole pounds! (I almost passed out.) I have decided I need to take some drastic measures. I went to my room and cleaned out all my dresser drawers and gave all my candy and all my cookies to my mom to give to the kids. She was shocked and amazed at how much junk food I had in my room! I decided that I will no longer eat bread, I will skip breakfasts (which I already do), and I will only allow myself to have one serving of Ice Cream a day. I also need to start doing the DDR again.

My high of the day...

I've been wanting to buy all three of the Pirates of the Caribbean, all three of the Lord of the Rings, and Batman begins for my i-pod off of i-tunes. The problem is, it really bugs me to spend $14.99 for a movie that I already own. I know that there is a way to transfer movies to your i-pod, but you have to have the right software. I've been talking with a friend about this for a while, and he told me that his buddy (who knows how to transfer movies) uses a special software from the web but he hasn't purchased the software, he uses a free trial that never expires. (I know it sounds weird!) I spent a while looking around on-line for a quick converting software (you have to convert a dvd to get it onto your i-pod), I finally found what I was looking for and successfully converted and transferred Batman Begins, both Cheaper by the Dozen movies, and The Lake House. But for some reason, I couldn't figure out how to get The Lord of the Rings or Pirates of the Caribbean to convert. Every time I tried to run the program on one of those movies, it would "convert" then a screen of errors would pop up...basically, the movies are heavily protected and secured. I then spend a long long time looking around for a program that would erase the protection seal on the dvd and then convert it. I found several files that would work, but five minutes into the converting, it would quit and a sign would pop up saying, "This converting demo will only convert five minutes of a video/dvd...to purchase the full software...blah, blah, blah." I was getting irritated and kept fiddling around with the other software that I had used for my other movies. I had been changing the names of the dvd's (because when you open a dvd it's name will be something like: VTS_01_0) to that actual name of the dvd, but I decided to leave the name alone and try to convert it. I figured if it worked, I could change the name later on. Guess what?!? It worked! The only thing I can figure, is the software demo is supposed to block really popular movies, so people don't abuse the demo (like me). If it doesn't recognize the computer name: VTS_01_0, then it will convert to the right format, weird, hu? I am feeling really happy with myself. I now have all three Lord of the Rings converted, and on my i-pod and I am getting ready to start on The Pirates of the Caribbean...hopefully those movies work the same as The Lord of the Rings.

My Low of the day...

Shelbie beat me up today. (Yea...it's true.) It already stinks to be shorter than my younger sister (I actually don't care that I'm shorter, in fact I wish I were two inches shorter than I am, but it does bother me when she tells people that I am her "Little Sister.") She totally trashed me, while I whined helplessly, then when she was finished, she called me: "La Short Fatso." Yea, that hurt!

I assure any readers, that this trashing was much deserved and it was all in fun...and I did get in a few punches.
