I thought it would be fun to do a guestbook for those who come and visit my little corner of the world. It would be fun to hear from you, would you sign my guestbook? ~Shyloh~

Latest money making scheme

Ok...so as if I didn't learn my lesson from my last Internet mistake (I.E. the candy sticks...)

Guess what I did this time?

I went nuts on ebay...
and bid on...
26 14 carat white gold diamond rings.
Count them...26.

I didn't intend on bidding on any rings, here is how the situation started.

My parents give us kids our purity rings on our 16th birthday. I told my parents that I will look around online and find the best deals for Shelbie's ring. (I offered my assistance, because I'm so good maneuvering online. HA!) My mom semi took me up on that offer and since then I have been finding really pretty rings for great prices.

Well a few nights ago I was on one particular site and found this gorgeous ring for $8.00. This site is especially cool, because it shows you the certificate of autenticness and also the retail value. This $8.00 ring retailed for $1300!! I was amazed! Immediately my first thought was..."If I buy this ring, I could totally turn around and sell it to a pawn shop for even a few hundred!! I could make a ton on this!" So I started looking around. Then, I thought, "I should check ebay..."

oh boy...

26 bids later I panicked. ("Did I really just bid on 26 diamond rings???") LOL, yes I did. Since that evening I have gone crazy! I decided I am starting a new business. I haven't decided what this one should be called yet. I have currently won 3 rings, and thankfully have been outbid on most of them.

I ended up bidding on many more rings over the next few days (right now, I have about 40 I've bid on.)

The jewelry business is a very hard business to win at, I must say. The competition is very high. My goal with these won rings, is to turn around and put them in the paper for triple what I paid, or even pawn shop them. (pawn shops only pay 1/3rd the valued price though.)

I'm having a lot of fun attempting this--even though my family thinks I'm insane. LOL, Jeff thinks I am addicted, my mom thinks I'm wasting my time, and my dad just rolls his eyes. :)

Any ideas on names for my new company?

(BTW...I know authenticness isn't a word...)
