I thought it would be fun to do a guestbook for those who come and visit my little corner of the world. It would be fun to hear from you, would you sign my guestbook? ~Shyloh~

Final day of the cleanse...

Yes, I admit...I am a quitter. Yesterday was day 1 of the cleanse. My goal was to go 14 days. It went well yesterday, and aside from being pretty hungry, we were doing well and going strong (in determination, not physically, lol.) Well, I woke up this morning and felt really really weak. I crawled out of bed and stumbled down the hall to the couch. I almost passed out on the walk out. I couldn't believe how light headed and faint I felt. I sat on the couch, and realizing I couldn't even sit up without nearly passing out, I lay down. I texted Jeff to see how he was doing and was thrilled for him, yet bummed for me, he was doing "great!!" He wasn't weak, wasn't faint and was only slightly hungry. My mom came downstairs a few minutes later and was a bit shocked by my appearance. Both her and Jeff kept asking if I was experiencing "normal" symptoms. I didn't remember seeing these symptoms in all the researching I've done, but looked it up again. It was not a symptom that anyone had experienced. My mom then muscle tested me to see if the cleanse was even beneficial for my body. She tested negative. Then she tested Jeff, who tested positive. After talking with my mom, Jeff and praying for a while. I ended up deciding that I was only doing my body harm (as not all cleanses are meant for everyone) I ate a banana, and decided I will still drink the lemon water and continue detoxing, but I'm going to have to eat something while on it. Originally I decided I'd eat raw foods and continue with the cleanse. But after talking with another lady who had just done the cleanse (and actually, she ended up in the hospital after finishing it) I decided to tailor it more. I'm going to continue eating small portions while drinking the lemon water. I will not eat sugar, white flour, no eating out and no processed foods. So, I am still going to be cleansing, only in a way that will help my body, not tear it down.

I feel so horrible for Jeff!! I spent a week researching it and we were both so gungho to start it, so I feel terrible to be quiting, while he is still excited to coninue with it. :'( Poor guy. But he's such a sweetie, he is totally encouraging me to not do the full on cleanse and isn't making me feel bad for quiting. LOL, I still feel like a horrible fiance though.

So anyways...keep Jeff in your prayers, for him to stay strong and keep on going. And also for me, to keep eating healthy and for the whole process to go quickly. :) thanks!

Master Lemon Cleanse...Day 1

Jeff and I started the Master Lemon Cleanse today. For those of you who don't know what that is, basically it is a lemon mixture (which we drink all day long--without eating ANYTHING, for the length of the cleanse) which cleanses you inside out. We are going to be on the cleanse for 14 days total. I've decided to try to post daily on how it is going. Soooo....

DAY ONE....

We are feeling very hungry and are craving any food we can think of or see...even mustard and pickle juice. (At this point...I'd even be willing to drink vinegar.) Our tongues are starting to turn white (which is the toxins in our bodies) and we've both had a mild headache and I've been freezing cold. We're excited that we're only going to do it for 14 days, since my original goal was 40 days. (Yikes!) Today has been hard, but it gets harder. Thankfully, the hardest part will be over in 4 days. If we can make it past the 4th day...we will be home free.

Please keep us in yours prayers throughout the week. And please...don't talk about food while we are around. LOL.

13 days to go...woo hoo!

Looking for Lemons...

This is by far the weirdest post I have ever (and probably will ever) post.

Jeff and I started a lemon cleanse today. (For those of you who don't know what that is....basically, we aren't eating ANYTHING while on this cleanse and drinking TONS of this lemonade tasting mixture.) So....this leads to the point of this post....

Does anyone have any lemon trees with extra lemons on it, that you wouldn't mind sparing? They don't have to be pretty, fresh, ect. I'll even willingly take the lemons that fall on the ground and are bruised.

Please let me know if you do have any. You can post a comment, or call (409-4581.)

Thanks guys!

...Another Job Update...

Here's the latest update on Jeff's job situation...

He just called me while on his way home from his multi-tasking test. He said it "went well," and feels like he did good. It was a 2 hour test which covered a lot. He said some of the test was really easy, some of it was super hard. They will call him in 2 weeks to let him know if he gets the job or not.

Here are the latest statistics:
100 people were invited to the orientation.
40 people were called to come back and take the multi-tasking test.
Only 6 of them will be hired.
He has a 15% chance of getting this job.

(That's better than his last percentage (6%) )

But he still needs a LOT of prayer.
Keep praying!!

John 14:15

It is perilously easy to imagine that we love God, because we like the idea o God, or because we feel drawn to Him. The only valid test of love is obedience.

The Shoe Box

A man and woman had been married for more than 60 years. They had shared everything. They had talked about everything. They had kept no secrets from each other except that the little old woman had a shoe box in the top of her closet that she had cautioned her husband never to open or ask her about. For all of these years, he had never thought about the box, but one day the little old woman got very sick and the doctor said she would not recover. In trying to sort out their affairs, the little old man took down the shoe box and took it to his wife's bedside. She agreed that it was time that he should know what was in the box. When he opened it, he found two crocheted dolls and a stack of money totaling $95,000. He asked her about the contents. 'When we were to be married,' she said, ' my grandmother told me the secret of a happy marriage was to never argue. She told me that if I ever got angry with you, I should just keep quiet and crochet a doll.' The little old man was so moved; he had to fight back tears. Only two precious dolls were in the box. She had only been angry with him two times in all those years of living and loving. He almost burst with happiness. 'Honey,' he said, 'that explains the doll, but what about all of this money? Where did it come from?' 'Oh,' she said, 'that's the money I made from selling the dolls.'

Prayer Request Update...

For those of you praying for Jeff and I, concerning Jeff's job opportunity, I thought I should give you an update on where we are right now. Yesterday, the company he is trying to get a job through called him in reference to the orientation he attended last week. They told him he needed to come back down next Monday to take another test. Jeff was ecstatic (as this means, he's progressing and getting closer to possibly getting the job) but also a bit nervous. He's got to take a Multitasking test...and Jeff can't multitask--no guy can multitask properly. (No offense Sweetie!! You're a waffle...it's not your fault!) So, if you could all just keep him in your prayers this week and especially Monday evening, that would be awesome! We're both so excited that he was called back, and we hope very much that he gets this job. Any prayer will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
